Aquatic Alien Starfighter

A mysterious race of octopus-like aliens attempted an unsuccessful invasion of the Sierran homeworld, covetting her vast oceans. It remains a mystery where these invaders came from, and little is known of them. The fighters are piloted by a single alien enclosed in a liquid-filled, transparent bubble. Like the Sierran fighters, these craft are equally at home in the atmosphere or underwater. The attempted invasion saw massive underwater battles in the Sierran oceans. Captured examples of these craft revealed no conventional or recognizable controls in the "cockpit". The fighter is armed with an extremely destructive plasma-disruptor weapon in the nose and was highly agile, the equal of the Sierran Rapier.
