Terran Technology
Terra is called "Earth" by its inhabitants. Sierran Intelligence has studied this planet, classified as SK-3, for many centuries. The Terrans share a remarkably similar external appearance with the Sierran race. The famous Sierran fighter pilot Talon has performed many covert reconnaissance missions amongst the Terran people, blending in with the population with ease. The Terrans have achieved limited interstellar capability.
SF-115 Tomahawk "Bubble Fighter"
The SF-115 Tomahawk was a short-range light interceptor-fighter that was powered by the most advanced Terran ion engine technology of its time. More commonly known by its nickname "Bubble Fighter" because of the transparent spherical cockpit in which the pilot is strapped to a g-couch, the perch afforded outstanding visibility for its pilot, but also made them feel somewhat vulnerable. The fighter was tremendously agile, but was touchy to fly, demanding a somewhat high skill level from its pilots. Eight laser weapons of various sizes formed its armament. The "Bubble Fighters" were also well-known for the dazzlng array of flamboyant paint schemes which decorated individual ships. The Tomahawk had an unusual configuration; it was primarily a large airfoil built around a rotating center module which housed the engine and the cockpit bubble. The fighter presented a very small target from the front or rear. Tomahawks were a familiar sight in the Terrans' early expansion into the cosmos, being deployed as standard interceptors aboard space stations and capital ships, protecting the rapidly expanding Terran merchant space traffic, as well as escorting strike fighters.
