Terran Technology
Terra is called "Earth" by its inhabitants. Sierran Intelligence has studied this planet, classified as SK-3, for many centuries. The Terrans share a remarkably similar external appearance with the Sierran race. The famous Sierran fighter pilot Talon has performed many covert reconnaissance missions amongst the Terran people, blending in with the population with ease. The Terrans have achieved limited interstellar capability.
Dragonfly-class point-defence /attack starfighter
The Dragonfly is a 23rd Century Terran point-defense interceptor and close-support starfighter. Derived from the Starfleet Academy Trainer as an interim type to offset the lack of tactical starfighters in the capital ship reliant Starfleet, the Dragonfly has been successful beyond all expectations. The Dragonfly boasts an advanced sensor and targeting system and is armed with two rapid-fire pulse phaser cannons and two micro photon torpedo launchers. The Dragonfly retains the excellent performance characteristics of the Academy Trainer but has up-rated impulse engines and a strengthened structure. The Dragonfly has proved to be a versatile and useful craft. While it's main designed purpose is to intercept shuttles, transports and troopships in low orbit and in atmosphere, it can be also be fitted with a short-haul, high acceleration warp nacelle to transform it into a useful in-system deep-space interceptor, when used in force can be highly disruptive to enemy capital ship operations. It has also proved to be highly effective in the low-level troop support role.
