Evolved Cylon Raider
The primitive and cumbersome crewed Cylon Type-1 Raider would evolve into this compact, sleek, and ruthlessly efficient bio-mechanical killing machine. The evolved Raider is a self-contained sentient organism and Is a fraction of the Type-1's size and mass. The fighter is capable of hyperspace jumps and is armed with two laser-projectile cannons and has two weapons bays for micro nuclear missiles. It has highly sophisticated sensors and electronic jamming equipment which also makes it an effective scout ship. Launched in swarms of hundreds from Cylon Basestars the relentless Evolved Raider can be an overwhelming force. These living fighters almost single-handedly wiped out the Colonials' defending Viper Mk.7 fleet.
