Incredibly fast and agile, and armed with 4 laser cannons, 2 ion cannons as well as twin missile launchers; the three-engined TIE-Defender is the Empire's deadliest starfighter. It also has shields and hyperdrive. Fortunately for the New Republic, very few have been produced due to its prohibitively high cost.
